When to share a birthday wish list
Send your birthday wish list two to three weeks before the party. That gives people time to order online and avoids last-minute store runs.
For a kid’s birthday party, add the link to the invitation itself. Parents of the guests are often relieved to have ideas, and they can see right away what’s already taken.
Birthday gift ideas by age
For young kids: building blocks, picture books, art supplies, a scooter, dress-up clothes. For tweens and teens: books in a favorite series, headphones, a sports item. Linking the exact product beats a vague gift card.
For adults, think of what you’d never buy for yourself: a nice kitchen tool, a plant, a concert ticket, a gadget for a hobby. For a milestone like a 40th or 60th, add one bigger wish that friends can fund together.
Not sure what to ask for? Look at what you use every day and what’s wearing out: your running shoes, your favorite mug, the bag with a broken zipper. Those make great birthday gifts because you know they’ll be used.
How many gifts and which budgets
Ten to twenty ideas is plenty for most birthdays. For a kid’s party with a full class invited, add a few more small items so every family has a choice. Kids’ parties often bring many small gifts at once, so a few practical items help balance the pile.
Keep most ideas under $30 for classmates and casual friends, a few between $30 and $100 for grandparents and close family, and maybe one gift over $100 for a group.
Update the list after the party. Remove what you received, keep the ideas you still love, and your list is ready for the holidays or next year’s birthday.
Chipping in on a bigger birthday gift
A bike, a tablet or a weekend away can become a group gift. Each person chips in the amount they want, and a progress bar shows what’s still missing. The “ask for help” message is ready to paste in a group chat.
The money goes straight to the person celebrating, through their PayPal.me, Wero or Lydia link or their IBAN. Seizenn takes no fees, and if the total isn’t reached, the money raised still goes to them.

Common questions
Is it rude to share a birthday wish list?
Not if you share it simply. Many guests actually ask what to bring. Put the link in the invitation with a light note, and let people decide whether to use it.
How early should I send a birthday wish list?
Two to three weeks before the party works well. People have time to order online, and you avoid duplicates from last-minute shopping.
Can I make a wish list for my child?
Yes. Create the list, add the gifts your child would love, and share the link with family and the parents of invited friends. You can add notes like clothing size or the right age range.
Can friends pool money for one big gift?
Yes. Each friend chips in the amount they choose, and the list shows what’s left to fund. The money goes directly to the person celebrating, with no fees taken by Seizenn.
Do guests need to sign up?
No. Guests open the link, see what’s still available and reserve a gift without an account. They buy it directly from the store.
Can I keep my list for next year?
Yes. With a free account, your lists are saved and available on all your devices. Without an account, the list stays in your browser and in your share link.
Another occasion?
Seizenn lets you create a gift list for any occasion: wishes from any shop, one link to share, free and ad-free.
Your birthday is coming up?
