Privacy policy

What we collect

Your account: your email address, plus your name and picture if you sign in with Google.

Your lists: their content (titles, links, prices, notes, product photos) and who you share them with.

Reservations: which gift is reserved, tied to a random identifier for your device, or to your account if you're signed in.

Without an account, your list stays in your browser and in the share link: we don't store it.

Why

Only to run the service: signing you in, saving your lists, sharing them and avoiding duplicate gifts. The legal basis is providing the service you ask for.

Cookies and storage

A session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie to remember your language, and browser local storage for lists and reservations made without an account. No advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them (see below).

A cookie also remembers your country (inferred from your IP address by our host, without storing the address) to suggest the Amazon store for your country.

Audience measurement

If you accept it in the banner, we use Google Analytics to learn which public pages are useful (home page, occasions, guides, tools): pages viewed, where the visit came from, approximate country and city, type of device and browser. Nothing is measured on your lists, invitations or account.

Two cookies (_ga and _ga_…) hold a random identifier and expire after 13 months. Data is kept for no more than 14 months in Google Analytics, without Google signals or ad personalisation.

Google Ireland Limited processes this data on our behalf; it may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the “Cookies” link at the bottom of the pages: the cookies are then deleted and measurement stops. You'll be asked again after 6 months.

Links to shops

Some links contain our Amazon Associates ID or go through Awin or Adtraction, the affiliate networks of shops such as Fnac or Darty, which record the click so the shop pays us a commission (at no extra cost to you). When you click, you leave Seizenn: Amazon, Awin, Adtraction and the shops apply their own privacy policies.

Browser extension

If you install the Seizenn extension, it only reads the open tab, at the moment you click its icon. It sends Seizenn the information describing the product (title, price, photos, the page's description data) and nothing else: this is only saved if you add the product to your list. It uses your Seizenn session to know your lists and remembers the last list you picked in your browser. It doesn't track your browsing and has no access to any other page.

Service providers

Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (service emails) and Google (Sign in with Google if you choose it, analytics if you accept them). They process data on our behalf and may host it outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses).

Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. Reservations are deleted with the list.

Your rights

You can access, correct or export your data, or ask for your account to be deleted, by writing to contact@seizenn.com. You can also contact your data protection authority.
