What to put on a baby registry checklist
A good baby registry covers five needs: getting around with baby, safe sleep, feeding, bathing and changing, and play. The checklist follows these categories so nothing important gets left out.
Think about what you already have, too: a crib handed down by family, clothes lent by friends. Marking them “Got it” keeps your loved ones from giving duplicates.
Must-have or nice-to-have?
In the first months, the essentials come down to a few things: a suitable car seat, a safe place to sleep, a way to carry baby and a way to change them. The rest can wait until you see how your baby lives: many accessories are only used for a short time.
For big gear, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and the advice of the hospital or the professionals supporting you.
Mix your budgets
Each item shows a typical price range. A balanced registry offers small gifts under $30, mid-range gifts and a few big pieces of gear, which several people can give together.
On Seizenn, your loved ones can chip in together on a gift with any amount they choose: the money goes straight to you, with no fees.
New or secondhand?
Plenty of baby items are perfectly fine secondhand: clothes, travel crib, bouncer, play toys. On your registry, you can tick “secondhand if possible” to let your loved ones know.

Frequently asked questions
Is the checklist free?
Yes, completely, with no sign-up. Your choices are saved in your browser, on your device.
When should I make a baby registry?
Many parents start during the second trimester, to have time to choose and share it before the first visits. Nothing stops you from starting earlier or later.
How many items should I put on my registry?
There’s no rule. Plan a few more ideas than the number of loved ones who will want to give something, with a range of budgets, so everyone finds a gift.
How do I turn the checklist into a registry?
Click “Create my registry”: the “Ask for” items become your Seizenn baby registry. You can then replace each idea with the exact model, from any store.
Can I print it?
Yes, the “Print the checklist” button prepares a paper version with your choices.
Do my loved ones need an account?
No. They open your registry link, reserve a gift or chip in with others, no account needed.
